We are the peer to peer challenge platform, designed to make your favorite games more fun. Compete for in game objectives to win bragging rights or cold hard cash. Fight your way to the top of the leaderboards, and make your next game matter - win or loss.

In this litepaper, we’ll cover the genesis for the new platform, explain how it works, discuss RAIN token utility, and share the vision for our roadmap.

Reinvigorating Gameplay for Billions

Currently valued at $230 billion, the global gaming world is a giant. On top of the current 3B gamers worldwide, the industry is projected to reach $583.69 billion by 2030. Yet like most industries, the bigger they grow- the more problems arise.

We spent months listening and learning what the core problems and behaviors are for gamers, on and off-chain. After completing an industry analysis and customer listening with hundreds of gamers and 50 college gaming clubs, we came to two core conclusions about gamer behavior.

1. Gamers are intensely loyal. They typically find a game or two that they love, and stick with it. They will play multiple days a week, for years on end, grinding to get better and level up - even if they are not having fun. This fosters a strong love/hate relationship between gamers and these top gaming titles.

2. Their loyalty leads to boredom. Unsurprisingly, the grind of playing the same game for years with an average 50% loss rate gets boring. It turns into an on-again/off-again relationship, that fills the discords with endless complaints. Yet, there they are - grinding and bored.

From these findings, our new platform was born. We built a way to make playing your favorite games more fun, through the first asynchronous challenge platform. Now your nightly gaming grind has some secret side action. Who can get the most kills tonight playing with a certain character? Who can get the best win/loss ratio this week? Layer in prizes, wagers, and all your friends. That’s Rainmaker Games. A simple solution, designed to re-invigorate game play and competition on the games you love.

The API Powered Platform

We partner with games and link into their API. When a user makes or joins a challenge, they login to their game account which feeds us their live match data. In turn, we now know how many kills they have, how many assists, etc. So you can challenge your friends on virtually any in-game objective, for any duration of time, and we can generate the results.

The Platform Experience

The platform itself is fun and simple. Signup and link your League account. Then create your own challenge and set the rules, or join a challenge on the explore page. You can compete for fun, or ante up to win payouts. Everyone can play on their own schedule and track their results in real time on the Leaderboard. When the challenge is over, the winners get paid out and you can rematch or join a new challenge!

Token Utility/Tokenomics

We plan to integrate Rain Coins as the on-platform currency. For the first time, we’ll be able to bridge blockchain utility to the web2 gaming world.

Here’s how it works. Rain Coins or “RC” is what challengers use to enter prize challenges to win more prizes and cash. Rainmaker receives a set percentage of each prize pool as a fee. To enter more paid challenges, they’ll need to buy more Rain Coins, or RC. They can buy those at a discount by using RAIN, or use standard fiat currencies.
